Here is what you get:

Frame: The frame that comes with the regular ION is sufficient, but still lacks extra support. The RBP Ultimate comes with a more robust, adjustable and more heavy duty frame. This helps eliminate cross-talk, while offering more support!

Drum Pads: The ION Drum Rocker comes with rubber pads that wear out fairly fast for a lot of people. The RBP Ultimate has MYLAR pads! We were the first to introduce these pads, and everyone who has purchased them has agreed that they are a HUGE improvement. MUCH better reliability, more sensitive, and better rebound.

Pedal: The ION Drum Rocker comes with 1 pedal. The RBP Ultimate comes with the same pedal PLUS an upgraded pedal! The pedal that comes with the ION isn’t really a “bass pedal” – it is actually a high-hat pedal. It lacks adjustments, and doesn’t have the same feel as a real pedal should. The RBP Ultimate includes the ROADIE Kick Rocker pedal. This pedal is a REAL drum pedal with a pad included! It feels much more realistic, and will allow you to hit those faster notes.

Cymbals: The ION Drum Rocker comes with 2 cymbals. The RBP Ultimate comes with 3 UPGRADED cymbals. The ION cymbals will do the trick for what you need them to do, but they are quite loud and flimsy. The RBP Ultimate comes packaged with the ROADIE Upgrade Cymbals… These cymbals are quite heavy duty, and VERY accurate. And remember, you get 3 of them!

2 Drum Brains!: The ION Drum Rocker will NOT play outside of a video game. The brain that comes with it is strictly for playing inside of the various video games. The RBP Ultimate comes with 2 brains, to allow you to easily play inside the video game, but to also play it as a real drum kit. The RBP Ultimate is packaged with the DD502 MKII Drum Brain which features a ton of different sounds and adjustments. You can hook it up to your own amp, or plug them into your stereo system. You can even plug your headphones in and rock out without disturbing anyone else!

VTI Box (Trigger Box): This kit is packaged with the newly released VTI Box (Trigger Box). This small device will allow you to use your Kick Rocker pedal inside Rock Band! Now you can use the upgraded pedal, rather than using the stock ion pedal. This will allow you to get higher scores. Remember, this pedal also works outside of Rock Band as well!

XCELL Pads: Although the MYLAR pads are a GREAT improvement, there is ONE drawback that comes with them, and that is the noise. But don’t worry! We are including 5 XL XCELL pads to help quiet them down, and to also help protect your pads. The XCELL Pads are our best selling item on our whole website. They offer quieter playing, better rebound, and also help protect your kit. We include xcell pads for ALL 4 pads, AND THE KICK ROCKER PEDAL!
